Fitter
APPLY NOW(FULL-TIME) S&S WELDING, INC., one of the fastest-growing, privately owned Structural Steel Companies in the Southeast, is looking to add an experienced Fitter to its team. The well-qualified candidate will be detail-oriented, experienced, well-organized, and possess the ability to meet deadlines under firm schedules.
Must be able to:
- Read drawings/prints
- Use measuring tape, squares, grinders, cutting torch, and hand tools
- Fit and align parts accurately according to the drawing specs
- Ensure correct materials are employed according to the drawing
- Use and properly set welding equipment to tack and weld
- Operate an overhead crane
- Operate a forklift
- Be knowledgeable about safety equipment and personal protective equipment
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure and stringent deadlines
- Possess a good work ethic, be a strong team member, and maintain a positive attitude
- Skillful in prioritizing workload, self-motivated, detail-oriented, with strong organization skills
- General knowledge of steel fabrication
